top of the grill makes so much more sense for function
The grille on the Prado is attached the hood and closes down on top of the factory plastic bumper.
I installed an AFN front bumper on my Prado 120 a few weeks ago and did not have to trim the fenders. I had to trim the black plastic splash guards under the fenders to fix to the new higth of bumper. The AFN bumper weights about 90lbs. I'll post photos later.

Yes, AFN make bumpers for the 70, Prado 150, LC200 and Hilux which is the same as a Tacoma,
AFN were at SEMA , there is video on YouTube of their kit on a Tacoma.
It looks like the front fenders on GX 470 are different at the front compared to the Prado 120. You would probably have trim the fenders like Mean Green had to with the Irom man bumper.
