where is it rusting? From shipping scratches?

The edges are. Maybe the shipper dragged it on it's end or the powder is thin on the edges.

What do you do to mount the front 2 holes to the frame. My frame only has holes at all the rivet heads, and the original skid was held on with just those 6 points. You have an extra set of hole in the front. Are they needed, or is 6 attachments enough?
