Ray, nice job, smart looking bumper, always liked the light package that it comes with. What winch are you planning on putting in??

Cheers

Great looking bumper… I have the ARB non-winch and I am considering this bumper w/ winch or another ARB winch bumper. Thanks for the pics!

thanks for the advice and comments guys. i think im going to try to get it higher this weekend while i wire the fogs and turn signals.
you think i should just take a floor jack and try to jack it up? with the bumper loose of course

I did mine by myself so I had to leave the bolts tightened just enough to hold the bumper while I pulled on it and then had to make sure it didn't drop while I torqued down the bolts

By all means use a jack if you can. I didn't have a piece of wood or anything around at the time to make a jack work for me. I did the same as bmac and kept them tight enough that hip checking and pulling would move it but the weight of the bumper wouldn't. Worked out in the end and really makes the fit look great.

Also quick question? Was your LX in an accident? Or did you just want the projector headlights?
If it was wrecked in the front could be the reason for the some of the ill fitting bolts.

As far as I can tell it was not wrecked . I bought the projector lights almost as soon as I bought the truck . the hood was replaced because the original one was rusted so bad in the front it wasn't worth repairing .

Ray, looks great! I think a winch would be an excellent tool in Brooklyn to enhance "liberated parking options." :)

you know, the marshals here enforce the scofflaw division for people with more than $150 in tickets on there care , which is like 1 ticket essentially . i use to see them drag cars out of spaces all the time then drag them into place for another truck to grab them .
they show up with guns and bullet proof vests and like 8 guys with 10 or so tow trucks . . they got my infiniti a few years back and ripped the muffler off , they basically just threaten you to leave or they will make real trouble for you. .
i think they stopped doing it as of last year and they boot now, but boy was NYC the wild wild west back then .

Nice Job, @raynyc !!!

I notice you have the orange stripe coner lights - do you have blinkers in there or is it just a marker? If so then how did you do it?

yes those are LED turn signals and LED driving lights that i have hooked to my parking lights .

Nice! DO you have a thread on how you did this or do they come that way? I saw them on cruiserparts.net but the description is limited. very limited, so I was unsure if they are turns also. Been trying to figure out a way to convert in the event I get a bumper that covers the front turn signals, and was thinknig I was going to have to do some rewiring

i bought my bumper from IPOR in VA, they told me there was an option for fogs so i did it. i didnt know it was going to come with the driving lights and the turn signals, unfortunately i did not document installing the bumper , more so that i am a 1 banana mechanic with not many tools and i was worried the heckling would clog up the thread.

Oh ok, that's my shop. I'll talk to them about it when I am there next and see if I can get some quick ideas.

Thanks!

p.s. I'm originally from 'out on the Island' lol Nice to see some fellow NYers on here
