Hey guys, I'm a 3rd time GX offender who just purchased my third.

Without a v8 truck in the house, I needed something to tow my boat and trailers while fitting 3 car seats, so im doing the logical thing and getting back into the GX platform.

Im going to do some light modifying for work, farm type, and aesthetics.

New GX comes in hopefully next week from FL and I will post pictures when it does... If anyone knows of wheel and tires, front end coilovers, or a prado winch bumpers for sale, let me know!

.

Please post some pictures on how you fit 3 car seats in the GX.

We're about to add a set of twins to the family and i am still wondering if the GX will cut it with 3 kids in car seats. (we have a 3 y/o already).
We have a Sienna as our primary kid-mobile, but the GX is our primary winter/mountain trips car. If i cant fit 3 kids, i need to sell it. :frown:

What we do it keep the middle row single seat folded and put a seat on behind the driver seat, then put the two forward facing car seats in the third row. The two older kids like the far back.

We used the same setup in our Qx56, and also in her current MDX. Short of getting a passenger van, what could you get as an alternative to the typical 3 row setup?

Hmm, that's a pretty good idea for seat configuration. I like it. There will be no trunk space left, but i guess i can use my roof top Yakima box for trips.

How secure are the car seats attached to the third row seats? Do you use the seat belts? I don't think that there are car seat anchors...or maybe i am wrong.

The EAGLE HAS LANDED!!! We had a great weekend together

Day 1. Installed some window tint so the 5-0 doesn't see all the crazy illegal things me and my 3 shorty's do. Sippin on baby formula, poppin' dat nerf gun, bumpin' itsy bitsy spider... gangsta!

Installed Tow Hitch-

Day 1 into Day 2- Spent much of the night installing Radflo 2" 650lb coilovers. I think I went too high. I raised the rear airbags and its still a little raked. I ordered spanner wrench and will lower an inch or so in front.

Day 2- Hardwired V1 Radar, Installed HIDs / Leds in front lamps. Compounded headlights, installed all weather mats, bought new tires online - Falken Rocky Mountain 285/70/17

Day 3- Debadged

More to come as she progresses

Falken Rocky Mountain 285 70. Should have come in the mail today, we will see when I get home. Found a good deal on 2 locally to help soften the blow and liked the tread. I commute 60 or so miles daily so didn't want to go any more aggressive

Quick moving is slowing down. The credit card has some bruises to get over before I move on. Ultimately want to install an arb and winch but that hurdle is one that I'm not prepared to cross with the wife. I'd be buying new living room furniture for sure if I did that.
