It does seems to be an 1HD-T, but look at the papers really close...that car comes with a 1HZ and it says so on your plate, right there by the bluesea charging relay, other than that, looks awesome, enjoy it

Possibly swapped by a previous owner. Good spotting on the VIN plate. Definitely says HZJ105L.

I'd say its a genuine 1hdt, going by the injector setup with the returns on top.

Well, I had to do the "papers change" and the engine ID number starts with 1HD... so, i guess it is a real 1hdt hehehe

Yeah, It came with an 1HZ but at some point, a former owner made the change but without making the papers. Even the "hindustan" that sold it to me didnt knew about it

The roof console on Amazon, look for Outback roof console. They make it custom fit for your model

De verdad buscaba una 80, me mata ese modelo y antes que esta tuve una 80 manual a gasolina. Lo máximo

Basically it can overfuel until the boost catches up to the fueling level.
This means you can have large amounts of black soot coming out the tailpipe until the turbo is working, but more worryingly is the high combustion temps that come with burning the excess fuel. These temps can lead to engine damage.

the 1HZ ( IP ) have no way to now there is more " air " available for more fuel .. so no .. it does not regulated ( on it own ) the fuel other than how it was set from factory ( or the PO if did )
