Hey guys and girls, I just got home this morning with my first Toyota and first Sequoia. I drove 3 hours to get a 200k mile SR5 and man I LOVE this thing. It needs some TLC, but nothing major that I can see. It is a one owner that the family outgrew and moved on. It's been sitting for 3 months while it waited for it's new home. Here are a few photos. I'll post up some better ones tomorrow. Lots to learn about new platform! I am stoked!!

I have some things to learn apparently, but so far I know the lower ball joints were an issue, so I'll make a call and see if they were replaced. Toyota serviced this truck all the way to 198k miles...nothing after that. I think it sat for a few months and then went up for sale. First thing is tires and the latch in the rear. Ordered a new all metal one and going to try to get it open today. After that, all fluids will be done and the brake lights need to be addressed. I am hoping it's burnt bulbs. The 3rd one works, jus not the tail lenses.

Welcome!

Good luck with the tailgate latch/handle. Mine ended up being something deep in the latch itself, so I had to cut the striker in order to open the gate and replace everything. Hopefully yours is just the normal broken handle.

Thanks. Nope, mine was like yours....3 hours, a deep cut on my hand, and lots of beer....it's open. I may jerry rig something and never rely on that handle again. Mine isn't broke, but what a BITCH getting that thing open today. Window works, so that was a positive.
