Hiya everybody,

I'm Ron. I just bought my first FJ80 from Brice. More like stole it I think. Thanks again Brice.

Couldn't separate this cruiser from the club. I just can't wait to get some trail time in.

Welcome Dimples! I was just thinking, "I wonder if Brice sold the rig yet?" … I did not see the listing any longer. Glad to see that it stayed local instead of being farmed out to a rust belt buyer.

Thank you Pitch,
Ya that poor 80 already did its time in the salt. I have a little cleanup to do so it doesn't remind me of driving in the frozen wastelands of home.

Welcome to Arizona Toyota 4x4s Online!
This is the result of a lot of talk in recent months about starting up a new
Toyota Land Cruiser club for all of Arizona that woudn't exclude other Toyota
4x4s such as the Hilux, Tacoma, 4Runner, etc.
Our discussions led us to an online forum for all residents of AZ, not just
those who live in one of the major population centers, who share a love of
Toyota 4x4s and 4wheeling.
The purpose of this board is to further this discussion, as well as organise trail
rides and informal meetings, talk about our rigs, plan for the future, or talk
about whatever comes up that is of interest to the members of this board.
So, if you live in AZ, have a Toyota 4x4 (including Lexus LX and GX models)
and want to interact with others that do as well, this forum is for you.

Enjoy!
Hello, forum newbie here. Very interested in picking up a FZJ80. Found one on Craigslist that I am going to go look at this weekend its a 94 with factory lockers. Talked to the guy and he said that its been sitting for awhile(not sure how long). it has 275K on the clock. Everything looks very clean(except the drivers seat is trash). Hopefully it doesn't need to much work, I'd like to make it my daily driver. Any advise is greatly appreciated.

Welcome Scott. There is good info on what to look for at Slee - 80 Series Land Cruiser Newbie Guide. At 275k, it may need some coins to make it a reliable daily driver if not maintained properly.

Thanks for the reply, and the info. I've read most of the Slee stuff. I'm hoping it was properly maintained by the previous owner. I've got a friend that works at shop... said he could do a pre-purchase check for me(compression test etc etc...) If it was maintained, is a 275K mile motor reliable enough to be a DD? Could I get in and drive it cross country?

Cool, thanks for the info. I'm a purty good shade tree mechanic so I'll probably fixing most things myself. We'll see how it goes Sat. Thanks again.

I'D Like to introduce myself:beer:

My name is Areic Bailey (like Eric with an "A")
I am 41 and work as a Paramedic for the FD in the Valley for about 14 years (20 years in the field total)
Married with 1 son, 7 years old, He is my co-pilot on all adventures, wife sometimes as well
I live in Prescott just up the hill from the old drive-in
I'm not a mechanic but have turned wrenches since 12 on just about everything, worked as a CNC machinist for 2 years and am pretty savvy on most things mechanical. I would rate myself a solid :banana::banana: to:banana::banana::banana::banana: . I am new to the LC with only about 18 months of ownership.

Truck: 96 LX450, 3x locked, lifted, 35" Goodyears, Well maintained and reliable with minimal issues, 210K mi, all baselined and everything that needs addressing has been done

I'm looking to explore AZ and go out all the time, usually just me and my navigator. Would like to meet up with a group for longer trips and new destinations. If CSC is looking for a new tag-a-long I'd love to get in on some trips!
