Hey all,

I'm mostly a sportscar guy, but I've always been interested in the Land Cruiser even as far back as the FJ40.

I was going to replace my daily driver with another car, but I couldn't tear away from the thought of finding something that could tow and also scratch the LC itch.
So I started researching a couple years ago and decided to find a 13-15 LX being at the right price point/mileage.
I looked at/test drove about 3-4 being a bit disappointed either by the wear or by the rust, but as I was about to look in other directions, I finally found a good example to purchase this past June.

It came with a pretty solid stack of records, no rust, rad replaced, goes into 4 LO pretty easily, center lock gets exercised, but it looks as though the valley plate leak has reared its ugly head (I'm at ~101K miles). That will get sorted out starting next weekend, and then I'll be looking forward to some trouble-free miles!

Happy to be here and learn all there is to learn about the truck. Thanks! -Jared

Congrats and welcome.

I'm a sports car guy too but I can't deny there's also a huge satisfaction in driving a bruiser that rolls over any road and obstacles without care.
