Just picked up my 99 with 128k miles-- wanted to introduce myself. MUD has already been a great resource for the purchase. I appreciate all of the effort you guys put into sharing your experiences and advice. Love the cruiser, stock but locked and inspired to do some mods in the near future. Had a pre-buy inspection and now have her up at Toyota getting belts (timing, etc.), water pump, CV axle, valve cover gasket and fluids taken care of. Obligatory purchase pics to follow.

Here's the sexy pic from the dealer:

Very clean rig 99.

Welcome to 'Mud er . . . the addiction.

Another '99 in teh fold - congrats! Nice looking example, and less than half the miles on my '99!

Thanks man-- and half! That's nice to hear. Have you done any major engine work?

None at all, aside from regular service items like timing belt/water pump/tensioner/pulleys etc. Replaced a starter, radiator, and some coil packs ever time. All this was DIY, and mostly with relying on Mud for the skinny on parts and procedures.
Alt, PS pump, AC etc are original.
