Hi, new member here. Still trying to familiarize myself with this place, but I guess I post the intro here? Anyway, I had a '93 f350 7.3idi back in the day. I was restoring it slowly, until it went into limp mode. I spent around 6k on a new transmission only to have the truck a couple hundred miles later act up again into limp mode. I got fed up with it and before selling it I posted a walk round video on YouTube describing the issue just for kicks. Fast forward a year, I remembered the video and decide to check up on it. Just so happens the buyer sold it to a gentleman that live in my vicinity and has solved the problem. I stayed in touch with that gentleman (via comment section) and till this day he updates me on the mods, conversions and how the truck is unlike any other truck he's had. That got me thinking. If only there was more info out there at the time. aka people posting their homemade videos and/or write ups. Onward, I bought a weekend car for fun, a '00 e55 amg and ended up straight trading for a '97 fzj80. Best vehicle decision ever! Although, it seemed as if the cruiser was occupied by drug enthusiasts, I saw the potential. Hence began the deep cleaning and mechanical restoring. In the process, when facing a dilemma, a quick google search, IH8MUD kept popping up. A big thanks to everyone's posts of experiences and ideas, it helped tremendously! It wasn't until today that I asked myself why am not a member of this place! I love my truck and keep finding my way back to this place. Sure enough, I see what I have missed out on these last couple years. A long rant but anyway, I'll post some pics now.
Thanks!

3) First was making sure it was mechanically sound before any mods. Then with more crusier activities I started adding necessary mods.

After the picture above was taken, I ended up getting stuck in 2-3ft snow pocket further down the trail with miss matched tire brand/threads, no recovery gear and no shovel. I banged pieces of dead wood against my new shiny ARB bumper for stakes to dig, floor mats as recover boards and a pillow! Surprisingly, the pillow helped a lot. What ended up being a quick reckless drive to the snow turned into an interesting 5hr recovery in the dark. Lessons were learned that day.

4) Next new shoes 33" geolander mt and a trip to Ironman 4x4 HQ in Oregon for aluminum basket rack an 270 delta awning
