Howdy! New to the OR community. Just purchased my '05 GX470.

Any recommendations for replacement headlight assemblies? Manufacturer, etc. Not trying to break the bank on them but also don't want any that are going to fade and look bad quickly.

I waited until Bell Lexus had a sale, then bought a pair of Sport headlights for under $500. I think many people run Depo brand, maybe a bit cheaper, no idea on quality, fit, longevity, etc.
I wound up sending my Sport headlights out for a retrofit, was expensive (around $1k) but they kick ass.

My rig had Depos on it when I purchased it about 4.5 years ago. They still look good, but I did notice some of the lens coating starting to peel at the edges of the lights. I have some Laminx covers to put on them but haven't gotten around to it yet.

I'd personally wait for a sale and get them from Lexus, although the Depos are certainly not bad. Most plastic headlights really don't last longer than 7-8 years before the yellow and start to look like crap.

I swapped some Depos w/ black housing I picked up on Amazon earlier in the year. Have no complaints so far and I have to replace them in a few years, ok. It's a pretty easy job.

I can tell you to stay away from Unique Style Racing! Had to warranty the first set within a couple months. Then the second set are peeling, and look horrible after a year or so. Spent way too much money for these. Absolutely garbage.

I have Depot’s that have gone through two winters now and still look brand new. The only problem I had was the rubber seal on one wasn’t set correctly but easy fix.

OEM is much nicer. I think I paid 450 for both of them during the lexus xmas sale. I bought the sport fog lights too. Repaint front bumper and front fender flares. Fresh bulbs all around.

I went the Depo route but everyone comments on how much better my GX looks with new headlights. It really does take years off, not to mention it's much safer now with proper headlight output at night.

I plan to go with DEPO sport housing in the near future and retrofit LED projectors. OEM housings have better optical quality but that is not relevant for my use case.

How does the light projection and distribution compare on the Depos over stock? Is it a noticeable difference?

here's the Depo with LED bulbs:

Do Sport headlights fit in a non-sport? I like the look and they’re oem. I have an 04. Didn’t realize how yellow mine are until I see these posts

Yes, same exact headlights fitment wise. If you go to Bell Lexus, or whatever Lexus site you use for parts, input your vehicle info and search you will see all compatible parts. If you search for “headlight” you will see both Sprt and standard models listed.
