As the title indicates, I am having a starting issue caused by what appears to be a loose wire. For months my truck would run fine, and then suddenly, no start, no CEL. I finally, by accident, realized that by pusing on the under dash fuse panel, the CEL would illuminate, and the truck would start. I pulled the lower dash and exposed the back of the fuse panel, and it seems that the Black/yellow wire that is from the 30 amp DIFF fuse is the culprit. It seems firmly attached to the panel, but if I wiggle it, the CEL will go on and off. So I have a couple of questions. How does this wire affect the starting system, (why would it affect the CEL illumination), and what is the process for repairing wiring at the fuse panel? Any ideas?

Get an OBD2 Reader and see if error code is pending or posted.

On my ES300 the MAF wire on the connector was loose, would not allow a start, pushed it in started fine. Resoldered, all is well now.
