Any ideas? This is our 200 LX 470. It has 235,000 on the clock. When drifting, there is sometimes this low, rumble/grinding/rubbing noise/feeling that can heard/felt in the front floor boards. CV joints are original. Bearings were repacked at 70,000 and everything looked good. Otherwise, car has been OCD maintained. New tires didn't fix the issue.

The sound wouldn't replicate for our mechanic.

Waaaait wait wait. DRIFTING?? Don't know if that was a typo or not but if you are literally turning the truck sideways that is most likely your ATRAC system (or one of the other traction systems) kicking in and intermittently applying brakes to the tires that are loosing tracking. I've done this before on accident on wet pavement and it does produce a semi-violent rumble but then the truck will regain traction, stabilize, and allow me to drive normally again.

Pretty sure he doesn't mean drifting and means driving...

If I read OPs post correctly his vehicle has run 165k since a repack. I guess I'd be looking at wheel and spindle bearings serviceability. That's a long time between lube and retorquing.
