I was wondering if the OHV park is open for this run and if so who is planning on going. I would prefer to go to Interlake as I have not been there yet, but if this is not going to happen then I might go to The Badlands next weekend.

I and some lighter rigs will be at the badlands next wekend you are welcome to join us Bill.

John,I will certainly take you up on that offer as long as there is no Interlake run. It would save me some gas money as well as being another notch in the places I have wheeled. We visited Flat Nasty last weekend, it is very appropriately named.

Interlake is 20 miles from my house and I have heard NOTHING about it being open that weekend. I think Carl got those dates from Josh when he called him from our meeting in Jan. So maybe things have changed since then or they are work days. I'll keep my ears open and see if I can find anything out. Josh was on here some so maybe he can shed some light on the deal.

It doesn't look very good for the 7th. The most my phone calls got was "I think it's walk ins only".
I think we are going to go to The Badlands this weekend insted.

"Come, Join our marry group"

Sorry Im watching the Searchers!

Everyone I've talked to said that it may be a work day for the local clubs but not open to the public.

National Trails Day IS open to the public!!!

There is talk of making it a ride only day becase the state has taken so many of our dates on the property.

In the past there was a work until lunch and ride the rest of the day. There are new trails down there that we have "kinda" kept secret. This will be a good day to ride some of them!!

If you have questions about what is going on down in this part of the state feel free to give me a shout @ 812-483-6965 Josh.....like I said before if I dont have an answer to your question I know the right people to get in touch with that will.

Sorry I havent been around much I am knee deep into a new buggy build and it is taking up all of my spare time.

I got a call back from Nila and was told it is a volunteer work day for clean up until noon and trails are open for riding all afternoon. Volunteers are encouraged to provided any tools for brush removal and/or down trees and limbs they can provide, I will bring a bow saw, triming shears and some trash bags. I am excited about going to another place to wheel.

I am going to skip out on the trip to The Badlands so I don't cut my funds to short for the Chicago Jambo at The Cliffs.

Sorry. When I called a few weeks ago, I was under the impression it was no trail riding. So I have changed my plans to include the Badlands this weekend. Let me know how cool it is, Bill.

Absolutely worth the trip:D! Where we entered the park it didn't look like much as far as trail riding at first, beutiful rolling hills around the lakes and some destination trails. After some clean up around the lakes we were hooked up with some guys from a local club Boonie Riders and they took us to the trails which were located deeper into the property. As it was explained to us the main trail area was formed from dredge minning and made for a litteral roller coaster of hills and gullies to which you could challenge yourself with some gnarly stuff or take bypasses, some very tight technical trails for sure. I had to take the strap twice. We had an excellent time and will be planning on making the trip back for the November 1st Toys for Tots run. There will be 2 work weekends prior to TfT for clean up and trail clearing that will work the same as yesterday, work till noon and trail ride all afternoon.
