Any body installed any interior tie down points? I don't have a cargo barrier so thought I'd use a net, I'd never looked before..There's no tie down points back there!? mine is a 1984, I woulda sworn my 1987 had tie down points...

I figure if I do a tank install I'll get some of those s/s ubolts with the plate washer, and drill a few in wfhile the tank is out.

Don't know but might be able to drop the spare and get

I used some of these (see below), love them. I got mine from Ebay, four to a pack, for cheap, a while back (I got 12 of them). I need to relocate mine to the top of the cargo drawers now.

They fold down or slide out completely (see empty base next to it).

how do they attach?

are they just drilled in? Nut and bolt?

Where do you drill into?

What area?

thanks

Too cool, thought that was a backing plate. Same questions about where and how you mounted them...? What part of e-bay did you find them?

thanks

Yup, two flathead bolts and nylock nuts. They're pretty long so I cut mine off once they were bolted in. I drilled into the body (never had an issue with that) for mine, but now I'm going to move them to the top of the cargo drawers:

Here's another thread on the subject:

I used jack nuts with a backing plate (see above thread) for tie down points I installed in my D-pillars. However, I don't know that I would rely on jack nuts to secure a cargo net that is supposed to protect passengers forward.

The milford cargo barrior uses a backing plate with three tapped holes that is fitted into the roof knuckle through a large (22mm) hole that is drilled. smaller holes that are dilled in the roof knuckle outboard of the large hole are used to secure the backing plate to the roof knuckle. A larger center hole in the backing plate is used to secure the top of the barrier to the knuckle.

I took a piece of 3/4" plywood cut it to fit in the back of my truck, drilled a hole in each corner and bolted it down with big fender washers on the underside. But before I dit that I drilled a grid of holes and used t-nuts on the underside of the plywood....Then I could screw in some screw eyes anywhere on the grid.... Covered it with some brown Home Depot carpet and called it done...
