Interior lights come on when walking by

I've owned my 200 for 4 years now and never noticed this....
I walked past the rig the other night in the dark (at my home) and the interior lights came on....I didn't touch the key fob. First I thought I left a door open - then I though I must have hit the key fob in my pocket....then wondered how many drinks I actually had that night - and maybe I was seeing things... So I locked it again to be sure and 5 minutes later when I walked past it again.....it did it again.

Is this a feature? Could it have been turned off and then turned on recently? How in the heck have I not noticed this?

Yep mine does the same (13'), don't recall turning it on/off.

Normal. I believe it can be turned off in custom functions...but personally, I like it

Pushing LOCK on your key FOB will turn it off again if that's needed for some reason.

Normal on my LX570. It' a nice to have, as if the truck is welcoming you.

It's also a good safety feature too, esp since I park outside and when I come to the car it's dark. I imagine many females (and males) like this feature.

I've noticed this as well.. does it only do it if the truck is locked?

New FOB battery? Recently replaced/ disconnected - reconnected battery? Might have reset the custom settings.

Also (at least n LX) you the wing mirror and running board lights should also come on

Doesn’t that deactivate them even when you open the door though? I think he just doesn’t want them coming on when he walks near his truck.

I have a Carista adapter/programer. I recall it was an option that I could enable or disable on my 2015 LX.
