he was selling the doors and taillights the other day.

Yeah, he was selling his LV a few weeks ago...poor guy drove off the road. Was a nice looking LV, probably has a ton of awesome parts. Was hoping that he'd sell the entire thing as a whole. Guess not! :O

hope he is a fast shipper!

I read the ebay listing and was amazed as well. Sounds like he has been soul searching. Cool with me! I purchased the rear lights from him for my wagon as spares. I am guessing the first wheelin trip out, I may possibly crush one so I needed a back up. Not used to wheelin something this long!
Hope the guy keeps parting out. He needs to sell the interior door handles for some guy we all know!

Goebs, maybe you should design some retro taillight guards and market them to the rest of the 45lv wheelin crowd!

;p

Good luck with your purchase.

I think he has sold his interior door handles to that someone we all know. Are you going to be offering the gaskets from the tail lights as samples so we can all get gaskets?

If the tail lights ever show. I would be cool with offering up the rear gaskets to Foxfab or Treeroot if they are in good enough shape. I am all for helping out the cause.
I have no idea when the dude will be shipping the stuff to me. He mentioned something about the cabin having no heat and he won't be able to get them real quick. Kind of odd considering I paid for them real quick.....

Hope they sho soon and if good, I'd be happy to work with someone to make some repros.

gasket time???

got the stuff from the dude in alaska. The gaskets are clean, but not perfect. A few cracks and a couple of small 1/8" wide small chips out of edge. Guessing there are better ones to copy, but if not let me know and I am in for a set!

Dear Poe,

Ok my apologies, I never said I live a normal life--so sorry for the delay in shipping--it has been unbelievably hectic with my web sites, eBay, finishing some web advert contracts here in Fairbanks, saying goodbye to girl friends, and preparing for my South American venture.

Please accept my apologies, I am doing the best I can with this gig I've cooked up--having fun, don't get me wrong, but it's all a one man show--between all that I must do, the weather, the tech failures, busted vehicles, logistics of time and money--all I can say is , let'er buck. And take heart, I will be going out to the cabin (where the cruiser is, 30 miles north of Fairbanks) and getting the door latch off to you tomorrow. Thanks for your patience Poe.

Thanks again, Vaya con Dios, Lynus O'Brien ALASKANSAVVY.COM

I was considering buying some of the stuff but others out there have deeper pockets than me! I get a little bothered as he runs the auctions backwards, ie: stupid price and then slowly reduce it till someone bites.
Don't get me wrong but it doesn't help his 'Cruiser karma any with me!!

Guessing "'Cruiser karma" isn't tops on his list. I think he needs to generate some income by selling all of this stuff. I don't think karma will pay his bills.

I am not diggin the ebay stuff either, but when you need a one off part, it's time to see what value something really has to you. My wallet hates the dent, but it sure is cool to even have the opportunity to purchase some of this crap!

On a side note, my stuff arrived safely and was well packaged up.

Seems like an honerable dude.

My 2 cents..

No, it probably isn't, but I'd be a little less inclined to give him a lift in Mexico/Central America while he's bumming around down there too (after all he's got lots of the green stuff now so he won't need a lift as bad)!

I've found "hard to find" parts for folks down here in Central America as well but I'm sure not trying to screw them for as much as possible!

I'd be happier if he had a realistic starting bid and see what happens than a "pie in the sky", "screw them for all their worth" starting price.
