End of january for 10 days. I know it is short notice i just found out myself. Will be working on landcruiser diesel and duce and a half for a small clinic. We try to get the vehiciles in shape for doctors that come and go. Really dont have much to work with down there. I have been 3 times already. I will let you know the more i find out.

What a great mission. How did you get involved with that? I'd love to do something like that.

I wouldn't have thought that Yemen and Haiti are similar in culture. Having never been to either place, although a cruise I was on almost had to dock in Haiti, I don't know much about Yemen but do know a little about Haiti.

cultures are very different. Both are 3rd world. I have lived in three countrys and stopped or visited 15. My parents were missionarys. So for me it is just as easy for me to go into another country as going to the mall. Haiti I believe is poorer. People are very friendly. We usually hire natives to help for dollars a day. Ill try to post pics of last trip tomorrow. Can someone put this thread on 80 tech I dont know how to move it. I have to order a front end kit for the front and also some bushings for the lc which I have to figure out what exactly they are first, last time I got parts was from 4wheelauto in canada.

Oh I got ya.
Well ya got me beat on countries lived in 2 to 3 but I got ya beat on countries visited 20 to 15. I'd love to go to Haiti one day. How do you sign up for something like this.

My GodParents were missionarys in Haiti a couple different times, several years at a time. They still speak the "french" back and forth to each other to keep it fresh for when they visit.

Sounds like a great trip, my prayers will be with you and the others that go!!

A friend asked if I wanted to go and i said sure. The church that mainly funds the clinic is in Indiana. They have approved more trips in the future. I am just a volunteer.
