Sorry, but I was trying to stay on topic by saying that there are others ways than paying 300+ dollars for a plastic tailgate cover. For that price you could buy the materials, plunge router, and bits to make it yourself. My mistake.

Nothin wrong with your idea, I actually like it. Just poor execution telling people about it. The thread wasn't "do you have ideas for tailgate covers?" So you weren't staying on topic.

It's kinda similar to one exhaust company stepping all over another exhaust company in their thread. If this is what Mud is turning into I can go elsewhere.

My absolutely worthless opinion is that this is a tech forum, not a classifieds. I kind of was irked by this thread as well as the wheel spacer thread, which were more of FS threads than anything else. I think we can all share cheaper and better ideas in this forum, which is what 1407 did. If this were classifieds, then it would not be cool.
