These tires have been shipping for a while, so I'm curious if anyone has had any experience with them.
I'm have been running SAM-27 36x13R16 on beadlocks for my off road tires for the last few years, and they perform well, but are getting tired.
I was looking at the SXII-80 37x12R16 which is slightly taller and narrower and I think they would fit quite well.

This would be on an 80 Series.

These are the 37x11x17 SX11s and that’s a Nitto 37x12.50x17 for comparison. I think they run a little smaller than the advertised size. They work great and very durable. Not so good on the highway though. Bias ply problems 😂

What pressure do you run these in the rocks? I typically run my TSLs at 12 or 13 and they bag out nicely.

3-4 in the back and 7 psi up front so I can steer still. Eventually I’ll hydro assist and 3 link the front. If I remember correctly they are 8 or 10 ply tires so they have really stiff sidewalls.

Even at those tire pressures people give me crap that I forgot to air down 😂

Yeah they are 10 ply. And I guess the 17s having less sidewall may make it even little stiffer, or less-flexy. You think that siping in the SX2 gives it better traction than say the TSL? Im leaning TSL Q78s in the 16" variety partly because Id like to just run them on stock wheels, and don't really want to get beadlocks. The TSL Q78s are 6 ply

@studawg I’ve had a set of those q-78 swampers and 80 wheels/with spacers on a 40.

They kick ass and look cool on the stock 80 wheels! The 6ply definitely have a softer side wall.

I personally like my sx11s in the 80. At low pressure they do fold a bit but make the 80 super stable

The Q78 is a 4 ply sidewall.
The SAM-27 that I run is a 4 ply sidewall.
The S-205 TSL/SX that I used to run on my 91 are a 4 ply sidewall.
The SX2-65 is a 4 ply sidewall.
The SX2-80 is a 6 ply sidewall.

Yeah sorry I was talking about the tread ply rating. SX2s are 10, like a Load Range E and Q78s are 6 which is like a Load Range C, thus why the Q78s are softer.

Well I got my sx2s in today that I ordered from 4wp a few weeks ago. They measure 35.5" unmounted. I guess that's on par with my current 315 ko2s running around 33.5". It'll probably be a few weeks before I get them mounted and I'll measure before and after they're on the truck. The tread lugs are absolutely ridiculous lol.

Which SX2 did you order?
SX2-65 or SX2-80?

The 37s measure 35.5?
They're 37.2 according to Interco.
OK, so after working a long shift and checking them at 2 in the morning I might have been a little off . Looks like they're right around 36 so they might be pretty true once aired up.

Yes, unmounted. I've heard the official rating is mounted full of air, but not on the vehicle or bearing weight. I'll check all 3 and take pics when I do it.
So what's the scoop on these???

So what's the scoop on these???
Iirc, they were around 36.5"+ tall when full of air and mounted. I still need to trim my fenders and I probably won't even get it on the trails until August unfortunately. I'm happy with the height and I have no doubt I'll love them on the trail compared to the bfg ats they replaced. Sorry I don't have a better update, this year has been ridiculous for me!
Edit- mine were measured mounted on the rims, but not on the 80 yet and something like 45psi.

3 seasons
Guessing 6,000 miles
@ 7 psi 33” tall passenger side
@20 psi 34 ish. Drivers side pic

If you trailer or drive to trails within an hour of your front door at non interstate speeds. I’d recommend them. I’ll definitely buy another set when these are done definitely in a taller size.

We have sharp rock where I live, these last/cheap and work great on our trails.

Longer trips to trails or even semi daily driver status buy another tire you’ll not hate…

Finally got to put mine to work yesterday and today. Absolutely love them. Mostly dirt trails and hills with a little mud mixed in. Spots where my triple locked 80 on ko2s struggled or couldn't do were a breeze on this 80 with an open front, lock rite in rear.

This sounds exactly like my first experience going from MT/Rs to TSL/SX. Trails that previously required lockers to get through, I just simply drove through open.
