Doing a manifold gasket replacement while Jim C is doing the carb. And while cleaning the intake I found a nice crack at the corner of number one.:bang: Now what to do? :meh:I have no clue as I was not anticipating this at all. I'm thinking getting a decent used one. But I have no idea where to get one. Anyone have one they want to get rid of?:D

Thanks all.

Valley Machine is well versed in older inline engines.
At least there used to be an old guy there that was.

Aluminum. I think. I am at work fo I don't have it with me. But when I get home I'll double check

I have stick welded cast iron several times with success. Welding cast aluminum is a bit more challenging due to all the impurities but it can be done.

just for grins I had parts look up what a new one would cost (Sometimes you just never know and can be suprised) BUT there are no valid part numbers anymore for that application through Toyota :frown:

Hope you have a magnet at home - like Phil said, Irons much easier to work with.
