Anyone have an insurance agent recommendation for VA? Alexandria specifically. Are insurance agents still a thing?

Looking for home and the two cruisers. Ideally agreed value for the 62.

Bought a place in Alexandria and joining the VA crew

Hagerty does agreed value insurance.

I have Safeco on my 40, agreed value. I use an agency affiliated with my credit union. If you're interested I can PM you their info.

I use USAA they do agreed value on my cruiser and I am very happy with them. All the claims they have done with no problems.

I can tell you about s***ty agents. BTDT

Had a decent one at one point, but then their agency was bought by a bigger agency. Which then was bought by a mega agency, and then my "agent" become a 1-800 in the name of "efficiency."

Hagerty is good for the weekend stuff. You can go direct or through an agent who reps their policies. Price is the same either way. I go direct now.

I switched my regular policies to a new insurer and agent this past summer. Was a total and complete cluster ****. Terrible communications. Last minute switcheroos. And then the mother of all billing issues. Already gave them notice that I'm leaving next year. They gave zero ****s.
