Instrument cluster LED upgrade - colours? (1 Viewer)

I'm thinking of taking off my instrument cluster, replacing all bulbs to LED's, and replacing the 4-inch speaker (driver side) while I'm at it. My speakers are busted (original) and door courtesy light is burnt out so I might as well...

Problem is if I want to order from the USA, I should get it all correct in one order, and I also don't want to take apart the dash multiple times, nor leave it out while I wait for the parts.

I've figured out the basic idea. Here is the diagram:

I have the middle cluster (btw, how strange that Bangladesh had the old-type instrument cluster post-2000?!).

From what I've figured out, Type C and Type D are the backlight for the dash, so I can use whatever colour I like (original colour is blue-ish). Probably go with white or blue. Haven't been able to find out exactly what the Type D equivalent is, anybody have an idea?

However, for the remaining ones, can anyone confirm whether the bulbs can just be warm white and the colours are contained within the dash, or whether I need to order the specific colours for each indicator?

I've also found a slightly different/better diagram from a JDM J7 that points towards me not needing a bunch of the Type A lights, since I don't have diff locks, etc. Note Type A in the above is Type D below

For the 194's to light the overall dash space, I used these.
For the 194's in light specific indicators, I used these.

I highly recommend you actually take your cluster apart once... catalog the exact number of 194's and 74's you need and colors you want. I preplanned, similar to you, but still ended up having to order a few additional.

In the cluster most of the lighting actually passes through colored lenses. That said, I ordered colored lamps to match the lease color. So for my signals I ordered green LED's.

Two indicators, the seatbelt and choke lights, are not in the cluster but in the dash and the lamp sits further back from the lens. I intend to replace those with brighter 194's than I originally installed.

Thank you @Honger - I did also come to the same conclusion - I will replace the speakers and pull out and inspect the instrument cluster at that time. Will report back with the results of my inspection.
Luckily my cluster is the new type, no speedo cable (phew), so I am not too stressed about the in-and-out.

Sorry to revive an oldish thread, but could pics be provided with the replaced bulbs? Need to do a few of mine, just want to decide on colour
