Installed keyless entry and remote start on 1996 80 series (1 Viewer)

Guys, I'm new to the board but I'm building an 80 and having a blast with it. Just gonna pass along a little info about keyless and remote start. I researched the factory system for a while and then decided to have best buy install a viper system. I found the 4105 system at the store and they installed keyless and remote start for $199 for parts and labor. Thought that was a good deal, works great!

I'm also running a 4105v and it's not plug-and-play. You can reuse the wiring harness from the factory alarm, but there will be some cutting/splicing involved.

anyone know how difficult it would be to post a guide of this?

i'd love to have a viper installed but don't have a shop i trust not to muck everything up... would love to do it myself...

I can post a description of my wiring, but I don't have a schematic right now. You're at a big advantage if your truck has the keyless entry already. The existing system has a removable harness that is quite useful, and it already has a starter kill relay and door lock diodes.

Here are some photos of the completed harness, ignition wires, and door wires. I'll post some diagrams once I can find them.

Completed harness, pre-install: the two white connectors attach to the ignition key switch (old alarm harness). Note the two relays, starter kill and remote start deactivate.
