Installed a Redarc brake controller (1 Viewer)

I am a big fan of what I call "factory plus" where most of what I do is subtle and not overkill to my gx470. I use my GX470 to tow my lotus elise (~4000lb total with trailer), and wanted/needed to add a trailer brake controller. I loath the bulky traditional controllers that hang down and destroy your shin while driving, and through a little research settled on Redarc.

I bought the liberty controller (~$135), the GX harness (TPH-021 ~$20), and the plug blank (TPSI-007 ~$9). Their harnesses are very high quality, and no additional cost vs splicing your own, and the plug blank fit great! I highly recommend it if anyone is looking. Install was easy, and I just moved the inverter button to right inside the fuse cover if I need it.

1800 miles with zero issues. I do wish the tank was bigger... Trans temps never went over 190 even in very hilly driving. Overall averaged a touch over 12 mpg (calculated). It was honestly very easy to pull, though I have no interest in pulling a tall camper or enclosed trailer.

Thanks for posting, looking into trailer and brake setups. I like Redarc and will go with this most likely but I noticed the harness you posted doesn't have GX470 listed on compatible

If equipped you are correct. I connected the Redarc to the factory harness. Great device.
