Looking for folks input who have actually Installed a JT Outfitters front disc brake conversion kit on a 67 FJ

I'm not looking for a flame post about JTO, just looking for some helpful hints on those that have actually installed one on earlier FJ's.

I have a kit and am ready to install on my 67

There is a kit on the front axle currently under my 67 project. I'm going to use a later axle with 60 series discs instead.

I did not install the kit but let me know what hints you might be looking for and I can reference the installed parts if needed.

Overall, the kit seems simple enough, bracket for caliper, caliper (i think single cylinder) and rotor that bolts/fits over the stock hub.

Thanks for the reply but I am looking for input for someone that has actually installed the JTO kit front brake kit. Basically any issues they ran into and how they solved them. So far on a search on this site, grinding the caliper mounts is one issue, however, that's covered in the instructions. Stock wheels will most likely not work (not an issue in my case), but that's stated in the instructions and their website as well.

Ferg PERFECT link, and I appreciate your time in sending it. Its a great supplement to the JTO instructions

Way back when....I had a '66 FJ40L(38991) that I did a front disc conversion on. I used '82 mini truck parts from the knuckles out, but did it on a '74 LC front end because of the 30(27?) spline axle shafts. Wouldn't work with the six splines that were original to my 40.

I used a late 70s master with a LC prop valve. Because one brake line to all four wheels just didn't appeal to me. Had to cut and raise the brake pedal (about 2") to get the proper amount of pedal travel. Things to consider.
