Started taking care of my BJ74. This is my first project on the cruiser. I am not a mechanic, fabricator, or anything else along those lines. I bought these transfer case gears a few months ago and finally have time to start. Taking it apart was easy. I used my grinder on the inside until i had good clearance for the bigger gears! I also started with this project since I couldn't find any info on it or pictures. I removed more than what the picture shows. by the time i was done, i had holes a little bigger than the size of a quarter. More pictures coming soon.

I believe @orangefj45 has developed jigging to machine the case assemblies for different applicable gear sets.

For those who like the “elegant” solutions.

Yes we’ve been working with a local machine shop for a number of years. I’ve posted the info for this a couple of times as well.
