Inner axle seal for FZJ80 & FJ60 (1 Viewer)

Can I install FZJ80 inner axle seal onto a FJ60 axle? Are they the same? same size ? Do you see any problem with it?

I thought I'd read the 80 axles were larger, along with the definitely larger birfs.

80 axles are the same diameter and spline count as fine spline TLC. The axle seal should interchange, although checking SOR's website shows a different listing for 80 series.

The inner axle shaft diameter is the same (31mm) but the 80 sealing surface is just a bit larger. The 80 seals themselves have a larger OD (50mm) than the 60 seal (44mm), but the ID differs by only 1mm.

Both seals are single lipped seals, why would you want 80 inner seals?
