Thank you Tom and Duncanrm.
The bj is a 77 model. It appears there is no banjo bolt on the engine block. I am not sure why the PO did this but nothing surprises me at this point. Still not sure why some had this feature and others did not.
The ip pump does have a dip stick so I plan on just plugin up the hole on the IP pump, fill with oil and do an oil change when I service the rest of the car.
It's ways good to learn these things about our land cruisers.
