Hi all,

New to the forum having just picked up this 2009 2UZ LC200 with 140,000kms (87,000ish miles). What would be the maintenance items you would do on a new purchase? The vehicle has been well maintained, with service records and receipts for the last 5 years (2 owners in that time) and pre-purchase inspection didn't uncover any major issues. Waterpump and cambelt were done at 100,000kms.

It has just had an oil change prior to me picking it up - but I'm still thinking of going right through it and changing all the fluids/filters/sparkplugs etc. Overkill?

Congratulations on the new 200! If it were me, I'd be reviewing the service records and start changing all the fluids based on what you discover. I'm more familiar with the 3UR as that's the typical 200 engine for North America but coolant acidity is a concern for thr 3UR head gaskets so keep in top of that. Grease driveshafts. Your usage will dictate service intervals. Engine oil, transmission, transfer case, differentials, engine coolant, brake fluid, power steering fluid. I don't believe there is any maintenance on the KDSS but there is on the AHC if you have that.

Beautiful truck.

Agreed with above - would plan to baseline all of the fluids over the next year or so.

Maybe a new battery if service records show that hasn't been changed in a while? Can swap out for new terminals too.
