Just purchased my new-to-me 2008 LX570 after initially searching for a 2013-2015. The threads on MUD have been more helpful than I can say, so I wanted to contribute back to the community.

While there are many threads on specific mods or services, I searched for a consolidated baseline checklist to follow after buying my rig. My mindset while searching for my LX570 was that mods/service would fall into 3 categories:

1. Must-Do Service (Regardless of year/mileage purchased)
2. Higher Mileage Service (100k+ miles on rig purchased)
3. Best-practice upgrades (100% optional)

I'll include my list below approximate DIY cost.

Please comment with other things you'd add. I'll promise to come back and update the initial post with your recommendations, so we can have a consolidated list.

I run the 3D maxspider. I heard not to great fitment with weather-tech. I love the 3D’s. Great fitment, full coverage, and they clean up easily

Fact, not rumor: I've run Weathertechs on a 13 land cruiser and a 16 land cruiser and they fit properly and work well.

There are certainly other options like the Husky mats, but I've had a good experience with the Weathertech mats.

I wouldn't buy the Weathertech cargo mat again though. The one I had didn't want to lay flat and was a fairly slippery surface. I like the rubber material of the HE mats better. I don't use either anymore since I run cargo boxes.

Updated the main list with recommendations from your postings. Thanks!

this is a great list. maybe add new wipers front and rear. you won’t know you need them until you do. OEM is the way to go

Updated pictures in my build thread with details on how to remove the difficult #8 spark plug (Passenger side near firewall)
