Tried to search could not find any others experiencing the same issue. My head unit doesn't boot up when the car is started. I takes from between 3 - 10 minutes for it to boot and once it does it operates fine. Before it boots the screen is completely black and none of the functions work with the exception of the reverse camera. I've tried all the common remedies including battery test (Battery is OEM and only 18 months old) and battery disconnect with no success. I'm hoping to resolve this without having to buy a refurbished unit for $2500. Does anyone have any experience with this?

BTW: It's a 2014 GX460 with the Mark Levinson stereo.

For $2500 you can get a Vline or other upgraded infotainment system and have enough left over for a trip to Hawaii!
But back to your post, correct, I've never heard of any delay startups on any infotainment system.
One more thing you may want to try just for giggles, see if you can pull the SD card or whatever is used for the maps and see if there is anything that is causing it to spend a bunch of time looking at that?
