*Info needed* 79 series 2jz-gte engine swap.

Hey fellas, been recently researching about doing a 2J swap into a 79 series ute, v8 series or pre v8 or even a gu patrol. Sometimes at the auctions I find these cars with no motor or even just half of one so thought it would be a good start for a project.

Now I can't find anything! Pictures or someone trying to pursue the same idea...

Thats because no one wants to ruin it. A hissan poohtrol engine in a lc sorry not even funny.

The skys the limit man! Take the advice given on this forum with a grain of salt.
Do whatever you want. If I listened to what half these guys said sometimes, well, you get the idea...
Pick an engine you like. good power and reliability, parts availability are all good things to consider of course.
RUN WITH IT! Best advice I can give.
A 2jz will turn a 79 into a trophy truck, blasting through sand dunes and whatnot but probably not the best for slow off roading.
Build the truck and choose the engine based on what the vehicles intended purpose will be.
