Spotted this on Gizmodo: a tent with an inflatable structure that sets up in 1 minute.

Website is here: Heimplanet GmbH

Currently only a video (with some good tunes) that shows the design; product slated for Feb of this year. Seems like it would be good for car camping.

neat idea, but the video raised more questions than anything else, like what the heck is it supposed to look like? How does one inflate it?
Why didn't they show one wen they drove out to those coastal bluffs?

Would have preferred the video to have been of an actual tent being set up - not ocean and 'cool' music.

X2!!
when they got out to the grassy area, I thought:
"they must demonstrate it now"
two minutes later, and the rhythm changed a few times, then still waves, grass, doodles on the waves... way to make an impacting video.

However, here is an article, and a slideshow.
I'm curious, to be honest. I think it would be a pretty cool idea. If they can pressurize the support ribs enough to withstand wind, and the user can tie it down, it might work out pretty well.
If it's within a reasonable price range, I may look into one for car-camping.
