Hey guys I have been lurking for a while but decided to finally sign up. I'm stumped on this one so any help is appricated.

I just installed a new Warn M8000 with the new contractor control box. I wired up the controls to match this link In cab control for Warn M8000 Winch - YotaTech Forums but I'm going to bring power from my fuse box with a add a circuit.

I have a AC adapter that's 12v to test stuff with. So I wired up every thing in the control box and added power/ground from the ac adapter. I can hear a click but the in/out don't work. I'm kinda stumped. I don't want to run all the wires into the cab and cut holes until I know it works.

Thanks in advance!

Does the winch work with the stock Warn controller plugged in? Presuming also that the main power cables (big heavy + cable from the contactor and the big heavy ground cable from the motor case) are hooked up straight to the battery?

What is an "AC adaptor"? If it is a 12V power supply that you are using to run the winch, then the most likely reason that it doesn't work is that the power supply lacks the power needed to run the winch. Wire it up to the battery and see if it runs.

Yup it works with the warn controller.

I hooked it straight to the battery and it worked. Well kinda.... The in works but the out is not working. I spliced a delphi water proof connector before the wires enter the control box so if I had to disconnect the winch I wouldn't have to cut the wires.

I think the plug is not getting power to the in wire. I hooked up a volt meter to the wires coming from the switch and I get 12v when I push the in button and when I push the out button.

With the warn controller I get power on the female delphi plug on both in and out.
