Importing to California, bad news??

Amaurer is correct. Either follow that advice or end up in the bowls of the "Compliance Division" of the DMV in Sacramento. How you I know? "It happened to me also!!"

Aye. Same issue with mine. Previous owner tried to import it direct from Australia to California and ended up with the Sacramento DMV "special cases unit" as he put it. They waned the unavailable Toyota letter.

When I bought it, I titled and registered it elsewhere no problem but I'm guessing this means it can never be registered in California. Is there any way possible?
