I have a friend in the UK that could purchase a 70 series for me and get it sent over, but I have a couple questions.

What does it cost to import?
How difficult is it to find parts for the diesels?
What engines are offered in the 1990-1995 70 series?
Did the Troopy styles have manual transmission options?
What other red tape would I have to go through once the vehicle is in the US? I live in Idaho and would register it in a county that does not require emissions tests.

.

The UK pretty well much only has LJ70 and a few lwb models imported from Japan.
The small amount of troopys and other heavy duty models are usually brought back by those who worked in the middle east ,australia and africa.

My only words of wisdom are to steer well clear of any vehicle containing the 2LTxx engines (2LT, 2LTII, 2LTE and any other possible variant) as they are notoriously unreliable.

Get a Cruiser with a full-sized engine such as the B series engines or 1HZ.
