I went to move the truck this morning and the DS Husky mat had about a quarter inch of water in it. I noticed it before, but just thought is from my wife using it.

It's been pouring here last night and this morning, but that should have nothing to do with it.

Reached and looked up under the dash and it was dry.

Can't figure out where it's coming in.

Would the roof rack have tweaked something around the window seals?

WTH?

Is this only happening after the rack install? I often get a 1/4" of water in the channel on the left-side of the mat after running errands on the weekends from getting in and out a lot - those husky's hold a hot of liquids. Hope it's a simple tweak if it's rack related.

Were the windows rolled up and the sunroof closed?

Some have had the sunroof drains blocked up ? not sure if that could get to the floor mats.

X2 Check the sunroof drains, just had one at work with them plugged. Filled the drivers footwell with water - soaked.

Toyota sunroofs are not water tight. Drains being open are important. If plugged, the tray will fill with water then spillover, run down the inside of the a-pillar molding and down onto the floor. Look at the area above the dead pedal on the lh side you should be able to see some signs of water. Also to test open sunroof and take a cup of water - pour it in the tray, water should come out just behind the front wheel on each side.

good luck, always hated finding water leaks.

I had a similar problem and found that the sunroof drains were blocked by dirt and other debris. I doubt the previous owner had ever cleaned them. Fortunately despite fairly heavy water inundation, the only problem it caused once the moisture dried out was water stains on the speakers!

I still check the drains once in a while, but since then the problem has not occured again.

Possible roof rack bolt leak

Did you put silicon on the bolt thread for your new rails that supports you new roof rack?
Good luck and let us know what you find.

Cool. Thanks for the tips. Never considered the sunroof drain. Will take a look at it this week.

Windows and sunroof were closed during the rains.

And wouldn't you know it, when I installed the factory rack, I used silicon, but forgot it when I went out to the shipping depot to install the AO rack. I thought the silicon was more to keep the water out of the threads? I doubt the holes travel through.

That being said, I will pull the rack and silicon them up!

Another problem I have faced is the windshield. It was a chronic problem in my Jeep that kept soaking my feet. Water would run down inside the dashboard and slosh to the pedal area when driving. I know the 100 is pretty solid, but you also twist and torque the beast when off-roading, so a seal could conceivably be compromised.

Start with the sunroof though - it's easier to diagnose.

Good luck.
