Congrats you old buzzard!! Even though you are younger than me.......you are now older because of being a Grandpa.
 
Thanks folks! My wife is way more excited than I am at this point. It's quite an eye opener for me though. My son and his wife have only been married for 2 months and now with one on the way it's going to be a huge change for the both of them. Knowing them though they'll adapt and do well with all of it.

The way I look at it Tom, is I'm getting it all out of the way now before I get as old as you! Nobody wants to go shopping for diapers for their kid and their parents!

I really can't read so I couldn't tell you what the memo even said! Usually all I see is "blah blah blah blah cease and desist blah blah blah prison blah blah blah" Typical lawyerese type of stuff.
 
Congrats Holmes!.... you can poison their mind early with cruiser stuff.
 
A quick update here....

My grandson Sean was born last night at 11:50 tipping the scales at 8 pounds and at 21 inches long. Momma and baby are doing great with no issues what so ever! I'll post up a pic when I get one!
 
Cogratulations Phil. Thats a pretty big baby. Let me know if you need anything or have any questions. I can answer pretty much all of your baby questions and if I don't know i'm sure i know someone who does. Oh.. and my hosp has some amazing programs for new parents. It's called Healthy Steps and gives new parents about an hour with a pediatrician and a developmental specialist for the first 6 or seven visits. Normal visit is approx 15 min. Oh and the bonus is that it is paid for by the hospital (healthy babies=less hosp time) So it doesn;t cost any more than a regular visit. It's a pretty sweet program and our developemental specialist debbie is phenomenal.
If you have questions about the baby or our program let me know.
oh and if you need anything or/are worried about some one please contact message me and i'll give you all the info I have.

Again congrats and prepare your bank account. Your one and only job is to spoil that child.

Thanks guys!!! In light of everything it's a one of the coolest things to have happened to me this year. My bride is absolutely stoked and wants to fly out to Virginia now to go see him! We'll probably go out there in the next few of weeks once my son and daughter in law get acclimated to having a baby around. My son's XO gave him a few days leave from his ship so he can be there with them. I have to admit the Navy has treated him pretty well with all of this.

I've been running on a couple hours sleep and got a bit of cruiseritis on the brain today. My apologies. If they lived closer to us, I don't think my cruiser would get finished!
