Yep, yep. Right on the money. If there is one thing I learned here is that people will go to crazy lengths to justify their purchases (more so, obviously, on the 250 forum). They can't bear the fact that they may have done a mistake or that the car they bought has many many flaws, not even if you show them the glaring facts up close to their faces. It is just human nature, I guess.
There are some exceptions though and you can see here and there people that bought the Prado and returned them or at least recognize its failures/shortcuts. To me, those are the ones more in touch with reality and from all the "car reviews" we see out there, those are the most trustworthy.
I am not saying there aren't any buyers genuinely thrilled and happy with the 250 - they are out there, yes and IMO mostly are the ones upgrading from a 5thgen 4Runner. The majority coming from a 200 are the disappointed ones. Some voice their frustration; some prefer to blindly say the 250 is just the perfect evolution and "the next generation engineered for the future", oblivion to the fact that a proper 300 series exists, just not in the US.
