2015 LC here. just purchased a drivers door Land Cruiser OEM illuminated scuff plate. However, there are no installation instructions with it. The fit is perfect, but I have no clue what two wires i need to connect so this thing will either illuminated when the vehicle is unlocked (like the dome lights), or illuminate when the door is opened.

I tried to figure this out on my own and tried searching for posts and online help, but was unsuccessful. In fact, i believe in my attempt to figure out what was happening with some wires and connectors, i have now caused my drivers side Multi Terrain camera to now not work..that will now become my 2nd post of today.
I was trying to find the driver's door courtesy light wires at the A Pillar connection because i couldn't fish wires through the rubber gasket/harness that goes from the A-Pillar in the door. This 2015 gasket is shaped flat and doesn't enter the door in the same way my 2007 LX did.

When i unplugged this white harness connector at the A Pillar, the courtesy light stopped working, so i had assumed the wires from the courtesy light would be found in that connector at i could tap into those. But i was wrong.
Here is the white connector that i unplugged..
In this above pic i Tapped into the pink wire and the black wire, the pink was power, however, the black is where i went wrong. The black wire, (shown in the far right of this pic) is what i think caused the camera feed problem that i now have. And am guessing, when i tapped into it, i disrupted the wire. Now i need to find out how to fix that.
And this is where it connected at the base of the A- Pillar....
So....Questions
1. Does any know exactly which to wires i can tap into in that A Pillar location?
2. This connector that i unplugged, is there a way for me to find out what the wires are that are tied into this connector?
3. Any clue about the Camera feed wire and how to fix?
