ignitor and coil use (1 Viewer)

I've got a 79' engine going into my 78' fj.


It's got electronic ignition disty. BUT I don't have the ignitor and coil. I haven't founf one online, The one I do have looks like it's been sitting a field for a couple of years. Is there a way to test it?

How exactly does this thing hook up to the disty and does it hook into the firewall or other components. I've got a FSM on the way. Still need advice to put my mind at ease. thanks Ken

I take it these are pretty much universal from year to year?
