I need a new cooler, anyone had any experience with these?

I have an extreme and it works great for me.

I have a couple of Coleman Extremes and recently bought an Ingloo Maxcold. I've only used the Maxcold once and it didn't seem to perform nearly as well as the Coleman's.

thanks guys, thats what I needed to know

engel makes a very nice cooler.

a bit pricey, but I think it outperforms the maxcold and extreme.

coleman 5 day extreme works great for me. It's got the wheels which makes it easier to pull around when loaded. I usually use a couple blocks of ice plus 1 bag of regular and it keeps for days in summer temps.

I have a Coleman Xtreme, but can't speak to the maxcold other than I've looked at them and they didn't appear to have as much insulation as the Xtreme. We take 4-6 coolers to elk camp and the Xtreme's keep ice longer by far than any of our other coolers. As was mentioned above, use a couple blocks of ice for longevity.

My Coleman Extream worked great until I jumped the 80 and ripped the lid off... Now it doesn't work so well.

Yeah, that'll do that to a cooler's performance. :crybaby:

update, for future searchers, I bought the coleman at everyones advice, works excellent, there is still a little ice 6 days after I put it in.

I have two large Coleman Extremes, one with wheels, that I would sell for $10 each - pick up in Denver. Both are like new.

If I was closer, I'd take you up on that. Can you hold them until I get down there this summer?

PM me when you are getting ready to come to Denver.

I have both, the coleman keeps ice longer just dont get drunk and leave the igloo to close to the fire it melts from what I hear
