igloo maxcold vs. coleman extreme (2 Viewers)

engel makes a very nice cooler.

a bit pricey, but I think it outperforms the maxcold and extreme.

coleman 5 day extreme works great for me. It's got the wheels which makes it easier to pull around when loaded. I usually use a couple blocks of ice plus 1 bag of regular and it keeps for days in summer temps.

I have a Coleman Xtreme, but can't speak to the maxcold other than I've looked at them and they didn't appear to have as much insulation as the Xtreme. We take 4-6 coolers to elk camp and the Xtreme's keep ice longer by far than any of our other coolers. As was mentioned above, use a couple blocks of ice for longevity.

update, for future searchers, I bought the coleman at everyones advice, works excellent, there is still a little ice 6 days after I put it in.
