I wasn’t thinking of the mighty 2F, more along the lines of one of the more modern straight sixes. But they still have similar displacements, so you’re probably right on fitment. So more likely a V6.I don't think a 2F will fit, at least that's what I remember hearing in the past.
2JZ's can be expensive, if you're looking for 1,000+ HP, but I think a stock 2JZ is much more reasonable. All that being said, I've done ZERO 2JZ swaps, so who knows. LOL
Thanks for the last round of responses, this is what I was looking for in terms of advice. I’m all for a 3.4 drivetrain, but they are now pretty long in the tooth. This leads me to the low price leader- GM. I imagine the 4.3 are also pretty hard to find with lower miles.
So the current toyota(???) V6 is a possibility. I did a little digging today and GM seems to have gone to i5/6 cylinders. I thought the low end silverados got a V6, so I need look into that.
I also did a little “build” researching and I saw mention that a 3.4 drivetrain swap required a body lift. Are the 1gen really tight on transmission space? Or was this guy going for a flat belly?
