Idle RPM for cold start?

Hi all, just curious what’s your idle RPM for a cold start. Mine is around 1200-1400 recently in park . Not sure what the cause could be.

In reverse it drops down to 6-700 and in drive about 800

1200 or so, higher the colder it is. I asked a Toyota tech about this a while ago and I was told that it is to help light off the cats faster for lower emissions. My '08 Tundra 5.7 did the same thing. Makes me cringe because of no oil pressure at start up.

Gotcha I’m in SoCal so it’s only 40-50 rn

It’s a positive displacement pump. As soon as the starter kicks on, oil pressure builds.
