I am getting a bump in idle while in gear. While sitting at a stop light my idle is jumping around and the truck wants to lurch. Doesn’t seem to happen if I shift it into neutral. Is there a rpm sensor or something in the trans? Can’t find anything on a quick search but I assume it’s not the speed sensor. No trouble light so far but just noticed it yesterday on my 2013 with 180k. Thanks for your help

It's ECU controlled and should be around 550 rpm.
It's not likely ignition as that's tightly controlled with feedback loops which would result in CELs.
It could be a vacuum leak or the cover over the filter not being exactly right. Could also be a dirty MAF.
It could also be fuel related, more specifically the fuel pump or fuel relay.
Hopefully it's not something mechanical but that's a possibility too.

It fluctuates between 600 rpm’s and 1200rpms. I don’t think the ac is kicking on and off but I will check. Doesn’t happen when in neutral

just checked and its not the floor mat is good.
Any recent service? Is service up to date? Do you have a code reader? Sometimes there are pending codes before a CEL is triggered. That’s a big rpm range. Someone else on here might know if a clogged PCV valve could cause it.
