Purchased a replacement upper and lower tailgate for my LX470.
Came off of a Land Cruiser. Seller did t know model year.
I need the lower gates tail lights as my 1999 LX470 lights won’t fit. The opening on the LX is larger and spans the whole space.

Based on pics what year tail lights do I need to fit this LC gate?

I google searched for a little while.
It looks like you may have to go LC inners and outers.
I couldn't find anything that matches the inners to those LX outers.
This is correct.

If you still need to find out what year the hatch is, it should have a VIN # on it. You can type the vin at www.partsouq.com in the search box and it will tell you the year/month of production.

If you do get a matching set of Land Cruiser tail lights keep in mind you’ll need to redo your wiring.

LX has reverse lights mounted on the center of the lower hatch to the sides of the license plate area. Landcruiser reverse lights are part of the quarter-mounted tail light assembly.

I did find some cheap LC versions on Amazon. They show up in a week. I’ll tackle wiring then.
Maybe I’ll add some super bright reverse lights on my bumper like my other 100 series has.
