I have to figure out a way to make a drive line out of this yoke (dana 18 t-case) and use my existing FJ40 front drive line for the axle side. I only have about an inch of material to weld on to. I could even go square tubbing, but that is last resort.

Ideas?

sleeve the base into some DOM tubing .25 wall (given the appropriate size as per the the base dia) and then center off onto the driveshaft via another piece of tube sleeving the other side of the DOM. I would imagine that you'd have a number of options at that point. Hope that helps. Look forward to seeing what you decide to go with.

I would take a piece of tubing with 1" ID and whatever OD you would need to fit the ID of your driveshaft tube. Naturally you would need a lathe or access to one to make all this happen

Sleeving is a good option as long as I wouldn't have to do it too many times to match the 40's DL. It would center everything. Thanks for the idea.
