Im having trouble finding how much rear lift I can get with a set of 5th gen 4runner icon 2” lift springs on a 03 gx470? I’ve searched and have been unsuccessful. The reason I’m asking is I found a set around town that are fairly cheep. Im looking to get 2-3” in the rear. The icon part number on the spring is 158506. Thx

So they are a 700lb spring thx!
Well,, if you noodle around in there, they tell you 2-3 inches. Also, those guys support is phenomenal, if you call , which the number is there near the link I provided, they'll round about you what your gonna get, they don't know how you have the thing loaded. The 700lbs are a good stout spring and will take some loading. Unloaded they'll be a little stiff but still a good decent ride.

Now, I put the stage 3 on mine which states in the notes, if you look at their website that a 700lb spring is available for "heavier equipped vehicles" which is the spring I have since I added an aftermarket bumper, which netted me 3". But I don't know the part number of the spring.

I'm almost positive if you call their support, ask about the stage 3 system, tell them you want the 700lb spring and oh by the way, what's the part number? They'd tell you.

Thx for the reply! Crazy enough world as I ended up finding a dobinson complete lift while looking into the icon!! It’s new and wasn’t installed, its for a 2010 4runner for less than half price it should be plenty of lift to clear 285’s. I think I have to just pick it up and build from that?

Here's a link to the installation guide, it shows the 506 part number there and it tells you 2", I'm pretty sure that's what you'd get if you don't have it loaded up with 10000lbs of shat.

The Dobinson kit sounds like a deal to me, cant go wrong with 50% off, as long as its got everything you want, if they advertise lift, you'll get lift. They're just NOT going to give you specific numbers because they don't know how you have the thing loaded.

I'm pretty sure mine are the 508s but cant be sure, I got about 3"

This 2.5 to 3 with 285s, that's my rig, there's ditch lights in it now and black chrome Lexus headlight assemblies. The tailights are gone too in favor of the aftermarket black ones

Looks great! Icon makes good stuff! I really appreciate the help. I’ve built 3rd gen lifts, 1 gen 4runner lifts. But this gx470 seems to be overly complicated? The 2uz sure makes them worth it though.

Best engine they ever made.. its a complex machine.. but it's all there for a reason.. I think..

2uz is an amazing engine and great information everyone nice conversation looking at the same Coils for My 2007 salsa red 4th gen V8

The GX is a complicated vehicle to work on, but not impossible. Example.....header install....2.5 days....steering rack....half a day easy.....lift kit.....one day plus.....starter....under the intake manifold. There are simply a lot of systems packed in a small area.

Other things like wheel bearings, trans/differential fluid, oil changes, etc are very easy. I would not suggest a GX470 unless you are moderate to advanced on the wrenching scale and like turning wrenches. You shouldn't need to work on it that much as they are very reliable, but when you do they are harder than many other vehicles.
